I mean, it's not like it's a Yamaha or anything.

I've been to work on mine a few times ... the last of which I got caught in a monsoon for the last few miles of the commute. And of course I'd decided NOT to wear the 'stich that day because of the heat. As backwoods said, the afternoon showers don't really bother me. It's the morning showers that make me wary at times.

I've been riding to Hattiesburg twice a week, for calculus, whenever the chance of rain has been 30% or less....which hasn't been nearly enough. It hasn't been that bad when on the harleys wearing a half helmet....but the ninja is murder! I hate the summer! I prefer riding from about September-November and February-may. I ride all the other months too....but not comfortably. And on my days when I've actually had time to ride for the heck of it, it's either been too hot, too wet or I've been too tired! Haven't slowed down all summer! The bikes have hardly even been washed but a few times each....been kinda ashamed of myself, I take pride in how clean my bikes are usually, so when they are clean I keep em in a cyclevault, and when I ride em while clean I get rained on! That HD hi-viz rainsuit was the best Christmas present ever!

Yep I live for it and anything to do with it or about it. I wouldn't trade my sickness for all the money in the world. I am happy and that is what counts most.

I got out of court at 4:30 today went straight home and stripped the 600 suspension off and boxed it up for shipment to Ohlins tomorrow. I might even ride to work friday that is if I can get the suspension shipped tomorrow. I will be riding somewhere saturday and sunday. I hope to have the 600 back in one piece in the next two weeks just in time for a NESBA trackday at Barber.

Saturday, I took my daughter for her second ride, first extended ride... We rode over 200miles, including southwest on the Trace, OPGR, Port Gibson, Rodney, Windsor, and lunch at Lorman. She loved it, except the heat!!

That's awesome! Always fun to introduce people to a hobby you enjoy and something new. Especially young people and family ! Glad y'all had a good time.

Rode my Bking 140 miles on sunday. No place in particular just wanted to ride the beast. It was hot and the heat seemed to zap some zip from the beast. I hit some cooler spots on backroads in the bottom shady areas, felt nice. I rode through the Ratliff parking lot and it was dead. Suprised that there were hardly no boats being launched from there. Ddin't really see that many on the river.
